Snowball Flow ("the App") is a debt snowball planner and job income tracker, operated by Swap Widget LLC ("we"). If you have any questions about this policy, email swapwidget@gmail.com.
Your debts (names, lenders, balances, interest rates, minimum payments, due days and escrow), the payments you check off, statement balances, your payoff plan and settings, jobs and income, expenses and notes are stored in the App's private storage on your phone.
The App has no sign-in and no cloud sync of its own, and we run no server for it. It doesn't request Android's internet permission, so it has no way to send your information anywhere.
When you import, you pick a file with your phone's file picker, or copy cells in a spreadsheet app and tap Paste. Snowball Flow reads the file or the copied cells on your phone and saves what you confirm. Nothing is uploaded. The App reads your clipboard only at the moment you tap Paste.
Export and restore. More › Back up to a file saves all your data as one file, and More › Export to CSV makes spreadsheets of your jobs, expenses, payments or payoff schedule. You choose where they go, such as your phone's storage, a cloud drive or an email. We never receive them. If you save it to a cloud service, that service's privacy policy applies to the copy. Restore reads a backup file only when you pick it.
Automatic safety copies. The App keeps a few recent copies of your data inside its own storage on your phone (the latest, one per day for two weeks, and one before big changes such as an import), so a mistake can be undone. They never leave your phone on their own.
Your phone's backup. Android's own backup may copy the App's data, including those safety copies, to your Google account, and carries it to a new phone when you set one up. When your phone has a screen lock, Android encrypts that backup end to end. You control it in your phone's settings.
Payment reminders are worked out on your phone from your own plan and shown as notifications by your phone. They can include a debt's name and the amount due, so depending on your lock-screen settings that text may be visible without unlocking. Recording a payment with a notification's "Mark paid" button requires your phone to be unlocked. You can turn reminders off in the App or in your phone's settings.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there's nothing for us to hand over or delete on our side. If you have a question or request about your privacy, email us and we'll help.
Your data is protected by Android's app sandbox on your device. Backup and spreadsheet files contain your financial records, and anyone with a copy can read them, so keep them somewhere you trust.
Snowball Flow is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, for example when the iPhone version is released, we'll update the date at the top and publish the new version at this address. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the App's release notes.
