Weather radar also shows birds, insects, ground clutter and interference. The app's Cross-check shows other measurements for any point.
Stratus Radar is not affiliated with or endorsed by any data provider. Every map in it is public data that Stratus Radar has processed: reprojected onto the globe, recoloured to its own colour scales, and for some sources averaged, filtered or converted, as noted below. Nothing in the app is the original, unaltered data of any provider. No provider's logo is used.
The app shows a short credit on the map and the full text below in Settings › Data sources & credits. Every frame of a video made with Studio carries a short credit strip ending with swapwidget.com/stratusradar/credits.html. When a clip contains data from Taiwan, Singapore or MetService, their full text also appears on a credits card in the video.
In the credits, {year} stands for the year of the data shown, and {YYYY-MM-DD} for the day our server fetched the image.
Satellite rain: NOAA/NESDIS Enterprise Rain Rate, a blend of GOES-19, GOES-18, Himawari-9, Meteosat-10 and Meteosat-9 estimates, via NOAA Open Data Dissemination (registry.opendata.aws/noaa-ghe). Averaged, recoloured and combined with NOAA CPC CMORPH2 beyond 60° by Stratus Radar: not original NOAA data and not endorsed by NOAA. Contains modified EUMETSAT Meteosat data {year}. Himawari-9 data: Japan Meteorological Agency. NOAA data are not subject to U.S. copyright.
